Dull skin, enlarged pores, first wrinkles: which facial should you choose?
Faced with a menu of facial treatments, it's easy to hesitate. The right method is not to pick a treatment name, but to start from your main need. Here is a simple guide to find your way — and know what to ask for at an assessment in Bulle.
Step 1: identify your dominant need
Most requests fall into one of these categories:
- Dull tone, lack of radiance, skin that feels tight: needs gentle exfoliation and deep hydration.
- Enlarged pores, blackheads, small blemishes: needs clearing and regulation, without aggression.
- First fine lines, early loss of firmness, dark spots: needs a treatment that stimulates and firms, alongside a good routine.
- Sensitive, reactive skin: needs a treatment with no friction or strong acids, soothing.
You can of course tick several boxes — that is what the assessment is for, to set priorities.
Step 2: the treatment for each need
Radiance & hydration
A HydraFacial Signature cleanses, exfoliates and hydrates in one session. Ideal as a "glow boost" before an event, or for upkeep every 4 to 6 weeks.
Blemishes & pores
A HydraFacial with an anti-blemish booster adds targeted extraction and a regulating active: the skin's texture refines, the tone evens out.
Anti-ageing & firmness
A Deluxe or Platinium protocol combines an anti-ageing booster, heat firming and a cooling, soothing phase. As a course of 4 to 6 sessions for lasting results on texture and elasticity.
Sensitive skin
As HydraFacial is a hydradermabrasion treatment, with no friction or aggressive peel, it suits reactive skin — with a hydrating, soothing booster.
Step 3: what matters as much as the treatment
- Consistency: a one-off treatment feels good; a course changes skin quality.
- Sun protection: essential after any treatment that exfoliates or stimulates.
- A coherent home routine: gentle cleanser, moisturiser, SPF. A clinic treatment amplifies a good routine, it does not replace it.
What about facial hair removal?
Dark down on the lip or chin, hairs under the chin: laser hair removal can complement facial treatments. Be aware, though, that very fine, light hair responds poorly to the laser — an assessment checks whether the treatment is relevant for your hair.
